As many of you know, we have a collection of candles that benefit local and international charities called The Charity Flame Collection. We pick a new local charity every 3 months to feature, and 100% of the proceeds from each candle sold under their name goes to benefit that charity.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful woman named Ashley from San Luis Obispo. She helps run a charity called "Give Back To The Children Program" or GBCP. Her dedicated and enthusiastic spirit made all the difference, and we felt GBCP was the perfect pick for our new charity of the season! Here's what Ashley has to say about GBCP: "GBCP is a non-profit organization founded in San Luis Obispo, California. It is our vision to empower the children of developing countries through education. This project is dedicated to bringing literacy and technology to children who need it most and GBCP's mission begins with Sierra Leone, Africa. The purpose is to provide the tools to these children so that they may gain access to and comprehend the information regarding present issues and to subsequently encourage active participation in their communities and in the world."
